Crystal, sweetie, don't feel bad. It's always better to take a risk- because then you learn. You offered this guy a gift- if he chooses not to take it- that's his loss! Don't offer it again- unless he asks and proves that he deserves it! If he's not flattered, then he isn't worth your time anyway! In the meantime, you don't need to wonder about a chance not taken.
There is *always* someone better out there! Likewise, there's someone who will uniquely appreciate you and what you have to give!
Example: I spent three years fixated on trying to make the first guy commit, even tho his heart wasn't in it! When I finally gave up, I discovered (in my best friend of all people!) the kind of relationship I was looking for all along!
Tres nice! Point is- when I stopped trying to force what wasn't right, the right thing just kinda came along!
